“My son and I had a great trip with Hunter. He was waiting at the dock for us with a full live well of bait he just netted. Then it was off to the Tampa Bay mangroves. We flip casted Pilchards in tight and had a blast catching good size Snook, Sea Trout and Mangrove Snappers. Quality, proper size rods/reels were supplied along with circle hooks and fluorocarbon leaders. Hunter knew where to catch fish corresponding with the stage of the tide and time of day.”

“The captain was very friendly and answered all our questions when we got on his boat. We told him we wanted to catch snook and grouper and he brought us to a spot where we were catching snook within 10 minutes of us getting there. Even my mom caught some snook with very little prior experience to fishing once we caught enough snook we went out for grouper and even though the conditions for grouper were not the best he still got us on a good amount of gags then on the way back we stopped at one other location and we doubled up on some huge jacks and then caught some more snook and jacks. I hooked something huge but it snapped my line after a bit. Overall I would say this was the best charter I’ve ever been on and would recommend it to anyone who wants to catch alot of nice fish.”

“Had an awesome day out on the water with Capt. Hunter! He helped me catch my first tarpon! Hunter was extremely knowledgeable about the Bay Area. He’s was very accommodating and made us feel free to design the trip however we wanted. He had light/heavy set ups pre-rigged and all the live/chunk bait we needed before we met at the dock. We started targeting snapper to bring some dinner home then moved onto tarpon; had great success at both. Hunter was prepared, knew what fish were active/where to find them, and friendly. I honestly feel that I left knowing more about angling on this trip. To sum it up, if you and a couple buddies want a laid back environment and productive day on the water, I couldn’t recommend Lock It Down Sport Fishing with Capt. Hunter any higher.”
